And now – a “Silent Summer”

Here we go again. Rachel Carson’s 1962 book, “Silent Spring,” practically invented the environmental alarmist strategy. Her paradigm has been disastrous for rational political discourse and a template for bypassing scientific debate and ignoring consequences. The fact that the banning of DDT caused the deaths of some 30 millions of African children is of no interest to her AlGorian followers. Environmentalist-stoked fears about “Frankenfoods” resulting in out-of-control biotechnology follow this model. Now that the World Health Organisation has at last over-turned the nightmare ban on DDT we have the latest of offering from the Monster Raving Green Loonies: “Silent Summer”.
