Suicidal Strike Continues

BA is clearly weathering the strike well, running 85% of its long haul programme and 70% of its short haul programme over the weekend. This has provoked the hard core militants into calling for an indefinite strike and Unite has raised £700,000 in a levy from members in preparation. However those who took part in the first stoppage have been docked up to 14 days pay, even if they were only on strike for one, if it coincided with a long international trip. This is because the airline stripped strikers of not only the wages they would have earned for the trip, but also the mandatory rest days they were entitled to as well. Only cabin crew with a death wish will continue to support this completely insane industrial action.
