The Divisive Public Sector Pensions

The cost of gold-plated pension promises made to public sector workers has soared to over £1,200billion, the equivalent of sending a bill for £50,000 to every household. The majority of private sector workers do not even have a pension but they are forced to fund those of state employees. Fears have been raised of social strife when ordinary people realize the full extent of the bill they must pay for the pensions of to the strike prone public sector. Clearly public sector workers and MPs deserve decent pensions however thanks to Gordon Brown private sector pensions have been destroyed. Millions employed outside the state soviet will be forced to work into their 70s because they cannot afford to retire but must fund a luxurious retirement for the PM.
