Dresden Death Toll

Dresden was one of the great Baroque cities of Europe and a leading centre of art and culture. During the final months of WWII it became a safe haven for ¾ million refugees, mainly women, children, and wounded soldiers so that population has risen to almost 1.5 million. Over 90% of the city was destroyed in 13/14th February 1945. The claim that only 25,000 people perished when a crowded city of 1.5 million was completely destroyed is beneath contempt. The fact that neither Churchill nor Harris was arraigned for such a manifest war crime simply highlights the fact that the kangaroo court of Nuremberg was blatant victor’s “justice”.
