Our toxic Aid Industry

Britain has “loaned” Indonesia, Sudan, Iraq, Serbia, Zimbabwe, Cuba, Egypt, Somalia and the Congo over £3 TRILLION and we have not the slightest chance of seeing any of that money again. It strikes me that borrowing money from the West is almost guaranteed to leave a country poor, corrupt and tyrannical. It is surely no coincidence that the one success story in sub-Saharan Africa – Somaliland – is the one country unable to acquire loans because it is not recognised by the rest of the world. It is also a rare example of an African country not ruled by a warmongering kleptocracy.
